International & Inherent Indigenous Rights

International and inherent Indigenous rights are not necessarily dependent upon the Canadian state for their existence, as they pre-exist or exist apart from the Canadian state. International and inherent rights are defined in international law and include those described in the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, some of which are recognized in Canadian law, some of which are not or are less clear.

Of all the things of a man’s soul which he has within him, justice is the greatest good and injustice the greatest evil.
